Seminole County Offers Affordable Central Florida Option
Seminole County's centralized location and quality facilities, coupled withrestaurants, shops and entertainment venues make the area a convenient, affordable alternative for SMERF planners in Central Florida. The convention and visitors bureau is ready to assist planners from the earliest stages.
While individual meeting facilities can accommodate as many as 600, smaller meetings are welcome and actually comprise the bulk of the county’s meetings business.
The majority of accommodations in Seminole County are situated in close proximity to a variety of restaurants, shopping areas and multi-functional business service centers. Hotel properties range from standard accommodations to luxury suites, with average rates about one-third less than comparable lodgings in Orlando or neighboring Walt Disney World. Most hotels are within five miles of downtown Orlando and just minutes away from major business centers. Most hotels are situated directly off I-4.
Amenities at most properties include business center services; on-site security; fitness centers or guest access to neighboring health clubs; express check-in/check-out, and complimentary morning newspapers. A good number of properties offer data-port phones, high-speed Internet access, free local calls, 24-hour room service, complimentary breakfast and concierge service.
When attendees have some free time on their hands, Seminole County offers a range of activities and attractions to keep them busy between meetings. A few suggestions to keep them busy: squeeze in 9 or 18 holes at one of the county’s golf courses; take a hike along nature trails; paddle a wild and scenic river; take a dinner cruise; visit the zoo; or, sit by the hotel pool, relax, and do nothing at all.
