Monroe-West Monroe, LAConveniently located between Jackson and Shreveport in northern Louisiana, Monroe-West Monroe is a prime spot for meetings. With 2,000 hotel rooms, more than 70 homegrown restaurants and many shopping choices, Monroe-West Monroe has what you need to make your next meeting a success.

“Monroe-West Monroe truly is the place where people meet,” says Sheila Snow, Communications Director for the Monroe-West Monroe CVB. The area boasts three convention hotels, including the Atrium Hotel & Conference Center with more than 5,100 square feet of flexible meeting space; the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites with more than 21,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space; and the Hilton Garden Inn with 2,786 square feet of space.

Maybe you need something a bit bigger? Monroe-West Monroe is also home to the largest meeting facility in Northeast Louisiana. The Monroe Civic Center spans 31 acres and includes a 22,000-square-foot convention center, as well as a conference hall, arena, theater and equestrian pavilion. The nearby West Monroe Convention Center has recently been renovated and includes three conference halls, two dining rooms, an executive board room and in-house catering services.

After hours, there are plenty of attractions to keep your attendees busy. Some of Monroe-West Monroe’s most interesting attractions are its museums, such as the Biedenharn Museum and Gardens, which features majestic gardens filled with beautiful fountains; a Bible Museum, which showcases rare and unique Bibles; and the Coca-Cola Museum. The Chennault Aviation & Military Museum of Louisiana is housed in one of the last remaining buildings from the World War II-era Selman Field Army-Air Force Navigation School. The area also offers plenty of shopping, Louisiana cuisine, spas, golf and outdoor sporting options.
